Product Overview
The ChemFlo® 2 Hydraulic is built around a precision investment-cast 316 stainless steel hydraulic centrifugal pump-end, optimized for chemical compatibility, durability, and long service life in corrosive or harsh environments. The pump features a 1-1/2" x 1" NPT suction/discharge configuration, making it easy to integrate into standard piping layouts while maintaining a compact installation footprint.
A core design advantage is its 5.25" (133.35 mm) semi-open impeller in cast 316 stainless steel. Compared with similar-sized enclosed impellers, the semi-open design provides improved tolerance for larger solids and debris, helping reduce clogging risk and improving operational stability in real-world fluid handling conditions (where process fluids may not be perfectly clean).
For sealing, the ChemFlo® 2 Hydraulic is supplied with a robust Type 2100-style mechanical seal configuration using carbon/ceramic/Viton as standard. This combination is well suited for many chemical and industrial fluids, while additional mechanical seal material combinations are available for specialized media, temperature ranges, or chemical compatibility requirements. This flexibility allows the pump to be configured to match fluid characteristics and site conditions more precisely, supporting longer seal life and reduced unplanned downtime.
Hydraulic power is provided by a compact SAE port fitting gerotor-type motor, offered in two displacement options:
- 0.22 cu in (3.60 cm³)
- 0.37 cu in (6.06 cm³)
These motor options allow you to balance hydraulic input and operating point to suit the application – whether prioritizing flow capability, control, or available hydraulic power on the machine. The hydraulic system supports hydraulic oil flow up to 10 GPM (2.27 m³/h) with a maximum hydraulic system pressure up to 2600 PSI (179 bar), enabling strong performance in mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits.
On the pumped-fluid side, the pump is rated for flows up to 150 GPM (34 m³/h) and head up to 300 ft (91 m), with a maximum pump pressure rating of up to 130 PSI (9 bar). These limits make it suitable for transfer, circulation, washdown, and general process duties where stainless construction is necessary and where a hydraulic drive is preferred over electric motors (e.g., mobile equipment, remote sites, or systems where hydraulic power is readily available).
Additional hydraulic-drive features enhance integration flexibility: the motor is bi-rotational on some configurations, and an optional case drain is available for series operation with other hydraulic devices – supporting broader system design options. Hydraulic motors with flow control are also available, helping stabilize operating conditions and simplify performance tuning.
