CHEMFLO® 4 - Hydraulic | Chemical Pump

The ChemFlo® 4 Hydraulic is a compact, stainless-steel end-suction centrifugal pump engineered for demanding fluid-transfer duties where corrosion resistance, reliability, and hydraulic-drive flexibility are essential. Designed for broad use across agricultural, commercial, industrial, marine, and OEM applications, it delivers strong hydraulic performance while maintaining a robust construction suited to harsh operating environments.

Product Overview

The ChemFlo® 4 Hydraulic is a 2" x 1-1/2" NPT end-suction centrifugal pump built around high-quality investment-cast components and optimized for environments where stainless steel is required. The primary wetted construction is 316 stainless steel, with CFB (nickel aluminum bronze) also listed as a construction material option, offering additional flexibility depending on fluid chemistry and operating conditions.

A key design element is the 4.5" (114.3 mm) semi-open impeller in cast 316 stainless steel. This semi-open geometry is intended to support passage of larger solid sizes than similarly sized enclosed impeller designs—helpful in real-world service where fine solids or debris may be present. For installations prioritizing maximum efficiency, enclosed impeller options are available to improve hydraulic efficiency characteristics.

The ChemFlo® 4 Hydraulic integrates a gerotor-type hydraulic motor with SAE port fitting, offered in two displacements:

  • 0.22 cu in (3.60 cm³)
  • 0.37 cu in (6.06 cm³)

This motor configuration supports hydraulic flows up to 10 GPM (2.27 m³/h) and is suitable for hydraulic system pressures up to 2500 PSI (172 bar)—enabling convenient integration into mobile equipment, skid systems, and machinery where hydraulic power is already available.

On the pumping side, the unit is rated for:

  • Flow up to 220 GPM (50 m³/h)
  • Head up to 205 ft (62.4 m)
  • Maximum pump pressure up to 100 PSI (6.9 bar)

Sealing is handled by a mechanical seal package, with a standard carbon / ceramic / Viton seal configuration. Multiple seal options are available beyond the standard arrangement, allowing alignment with specific fluid compatibility, temperature considerations, and duty cycle requirements. Hydraulic motors with flow control are also available as an option for applications requiring finer speed/flow adjustment and improved system tunability.

In summary, the ChemFlo® 4 Hydraulic combines corrosion-resistant metallurgy, solids-handling impeller geometry, and a robust gerotor hydraulic drive to deliver reliable centrifugal performance in hydraulically powered applications.

Features and Benefits

316 Stainless Steel Construction

  • Benefit: Excellent corrosion resistance for chemically aggressive or saline environments, extending service life and maintaining performance.

Semi-Open Impeller Design (4.5")

  • Benefit: Better tolerance for fluids containing fine solids and debris compared with enclosed impellers of similar size, reducing clogging risk and downtime.

Optional Enclosed Impeller

  • Benefit: Improved hydraulic efficiency where clean fluids and maximum energy performance are the priority.

Gerotor Hydraulic Motor Drive (SAE port fitting)

  • Benefit: Reliable hydraulic power transmission and easy integration into hydraulic circuits commonly used in mobile and industrial equipment.

Two Motor Displacements (0.22 / 0.37 cu in)

  • Benefit: Greater flexibility to match pump performance to available hydraulic flow, desired speed, and operating point.

High Hydraulic System Pressure Capability (up to 2500 PSI / 172 bar)

  • Benefit: Compatible with many modern hydraulic systems, providing operational headroom and stable performance.

Standard Mechanical Seal (Carbon/Ceramic/Viton) + Seal Options

  • Benefit: Solid baseline sealing for many services with the ability to tailor seal selection for specific fluids and operating conditions.

Optional Hydraulic Motors with Flow Control

  • Benefit: Improved controllability of pump output, supporting precise process flow management and easier commissioning.
