Product Overview
The ChemFlo® 6 Hydraulic is a hydraulically driven, end-suction centrifugal pump featuring a 3" suction and 2" discharge configuration with 125# ANSI flange connections. The pump’s wetted construction utilizes high-quality investment-cast 316 stainless steel to provide strong corrosion resistance and long service life in demanding operating conditions where stainless steel is required.
At the heart of the hydraulic performance is a precision enclosed impeller (6.18" / 156.97 mm, cast 316 stainless steel). Compared with semi-open impeller designs, the enclosed geometry is optimized to deliver increased head capability and improved hydraulic efficiency, making the pump suitable for higher differential-pressure duties and energy-conscious systems. The ChemFlo® 6 hydraulic design supports multiple hydraulic flow configurations to cover a broad range of duty points – up to 500 GPM (113.6 m³/h) and up to 190 ft (58 m) of total head – allowing system designers to match pump output closely to real operating requirements.
Hydraulic power is provided by SAE port fitting gerotor-type motors offered in 1.16 or 1.59 in³ displacement options (19.0 or 26.0 cm³). These motors are designed for hydraulic fluid flows up to 27 GPM (6.13 m³/h) with maximum hydraulic system pressure up to 2000 PSI (138 bar). Select motor configurations are available in bi-rotational versions, supporting flexible installation and integration into equipment platforms where motor rotation direction may vary.
Sealing is handled by a robust mechanical seal arrangement. The standard seal configuration is carbon/ceramic/Viton (type 2100 style), with additional mechanical seal material combinations available for fluids with different lubricity, temperature, or chemical compatibility requirements. This flexibility supports broader application coverage, helps reduce premature seal wear, and improves reliability when operating with challenging media.
The pump casing and internal hydraulic geometry are engineered for pressure-rated service up to 220 PSI (15.2 bar) on the pumped fluid side. This allows the ChemFlo® 6 Hydraulic to operate confidently in systems with elevated discharge pressures, while maintaining stable performance across its operating envelope.
