PETROLEUM 180 | S Series | End Suction Centrifugal Pump (3" x 1-1/2")

The MP Pumps Petroleum 180 is a robust end‑suction centrifugal pump designed for efficient and reliable transfer of petroleum‑based liquids. Engineered for demanding industrial, agricultural, and marine environments, it offers installation flexibility, multiple drive options, and fuel‑specific configurations to ensure optimal performance and long service life.

Technical Overview

The Petroleum 180 features a 3" x 1‑1/2" 150‑lb flanged suction and discharge arrangement, providing strong hydraulic performance with flow rates up to 320 GPM (72.67 m³/h) and heads reaching 160 ft (49 m). Its enclosed impeller design – available in cast iron or aluminum depending on the model – ensures durability, efficiency, and compatibility with a wide range of fuels.

This pump can be close‑coupled to a 215JP‑frame electric motor or mounted on a pedestal for use with diesel engines, hydraulic drives, or other custom power sources. For simplified system integration, the pump casing can be rotated in 90‑degree increments, making it easy to align with existing piping in confined or complex installations.

Three engineered variants allow precise matching to the intended fuel type:

  • SE 180 – optimized for Ethanol and E85
  • SG 180 – configured for Gasoline, Avgas, Kerosene, Jet A/8
  • SO 180 – tailored for Biodiesel, Fuel Oil, and Diesel

Each model features seals and materials selected specifically for its fluid compatibility. With a motor capability up to 15 HP (11 kW), the Petroleum 180 is well‑suited for heavy‑duty applications such as fuel transfer skids, marine fueling systems, and industrial fluid handling.
