PETROLEUM 80 | S Series | End Suction Centrifugal Pump (1-1/2" x 1-1/4")

The Petroleum 80 End Suction Centrifugal Pump is a high-performance pump specifically engineered for handling petroleum-based fluids with exceptional efficiency and reliability.

This pump series is available in three distinct models: SO 80, SG 80, and SE 80, each designed to meet the diverse needs of various applications.

The Petroleum 80 series is designed to close-couple with 56C and 145TC frame electric motors, providing versatile mounting options including pedestal and PumPAKs®.

With the ability to rotate the pump in 90° increments, the Petroleum 80 series ensures optimal performance and adaptability in different settings.

Product Description

The MP Pumps Petroleum 80 series is designed as a versatile 1‑1/2" x 1‑1/4" end‑suction centrifugal pump built for consistent flow and dependable operation in fuel‑handling applications. The pump family supports flows up to 80 GPM (18.2 m³/h) and heads reaching 139 ft (42 m), enabling effective fluid transfer across long distances and elevated discharge points.

Each model is engineered with industry‑specific impeller and seal combinations to ensure chemical compatibility and long‑term resistance to wear. The SE 80 and SO 80 models utilize heavy‑duty cast iron enclosed impellers, while the SG 80 employs a lightweight enclosed aluminum impeller optimized for refined fuels.

The pump is adaptable to a variety of drive configurations, including close‑coupled 56C and 145TC electric motors, hydraulic motors, pedestal mounting, and PumPAK® assemblies, making it suitable for both fixed and mobile installations. The casing’s 90‑degree rotational capability enables flexible alignment of suction and discharge ports, simplifying integration into existing systems.

To ensure safety and reliability, the SE 80 and SG 80 models are offered with Class 1 Group D explosion‑proof motor options, providing enhanced protection in hazardous fuel environments. The SO 80 variant comes standard with a TEFC motor configuration ideal for heavy‑duty diesel transfer.

Combined with durable Type 2 or Type 21 mechanical seals – constructed from Viton, carbon, silicon carbide, ni-resist and stainless steel – the Petroleum 80 series ensures leak‑free operation and long service life even in demanding fuel applications.
