Product Overview

The MP Pumps Series 130 is engineered as a high‑efficiency end‑suction centrifugal pump designed for demanding fluid‑transfer operations across multiple sectors. Its robust hydraulic profile ensures reliable performance even under fluctuating operating conditions, while the pump’s material versatility – available in cast iron, bronze, or aluminum configurations – allows it to handle a wide range of liquids, from clean water to more corrosive or abrasive media.

At the core of the Series 130 design is a dynamically balanced 4-inch enclosed impeller, optimized to minimize vibration, improve hydraulic smoothness, and enhance power transfer efficiency. This balance directly contributes to prolonged motor life and reduced bearing load, resulting in long-term operational stability. The enclosed impeller design also supports consistent flow rates up to 200 GPM (45.4 m³/h) and heads of up to 60 feet (18.2 m), ensuring the pump performs reliably in both low- and medium-pressure systems.

The pump's mechanical sealing system features a self-adjusting carbon/ceramic/Viton seal, engineered to maintain proper sealing pressure throughout operation. This compensates for wear and temperature changes, improving long-term seal integrity. Additionally, MP Pumps offers optional seal material combinations to accommodate chemically aggressive or abrasive fluids, making the Series 130 adaptable to industry-specific requirements.

To enhance structural durability, the Series 130 utilizes stainless steel fasteners that offer superior corrosion resistance. This feature is particularly beneficial in marine, industrial washdown, fertilizer handling, and agricultural environments where metal components frequently encounter moisture or corrosive substances. The combination of corrosion-resistant components and sturdy casing materials ensures optimal longevity even under harsh conditions.

The pump is configured in a close-coupled design compatible with standard NEMA "C" face motors. This arrangement minimizes alignment issues, reduces installation complexity, and contributes to a more compact footprint – ideal for OEM applications, equipment retrofits, and mobile systems. Supported motor frames include 56C, 145TC, and 184C, giving users flexibility in selecting the most appropriate motor size and power rating up to 3 HP (2.2 kW). For specialized equipment or hydraulic-driven systems, the Series 130 also supports a hydraulic motor drive (0.37 cu. in. / 6.06 cm³), as well as pedestal-mounted and motorless PumPAK® versions for tailored integration.

MP Pumps reinforces its focus on quick servicing and reduced downtime by offering fully tested “Wet End” PumPAKs, which can be installed on standard C‑frame motors within minutes. This design philosophy is aimed at operators who require rapid field replacement or modular component interchangeability. Whether used in agricultural irrigation setups, industrial fluid-transfer skids, or commercial circulation systems, the Series 130 ensures consistent, reliable operation backed by high mechanical efficiency and long‑term maintainability.
