Product Overview
The FLOMAX® 30 is built around a high‑efficiency self‑priming design capable of generating significant vacuum to lift liquids from elevations up to 25 ft (7.6 m), allowing the pump to operate effectively even when the fluid source is below pump level. Once the pump and suction line are primed, an integrated flapper valve traps a full column of liquid within the suction piping, ensuring smooth operation and uninterrupted flow cycles.
The pump end is delivered as a pre‑assembled, performance‑tested PumPAK® unit that can be easily paired with multiple drive types, including electric motors from 182TC to 286TSC frame sizes, gasoline engines, or a bearing pedestal for belt‑drive or T‑frame motor configurations. This broad compatibility makes the FLOMAX® 30 adaptable to diverse installation requirements.
Constructed from high‑quality materials such as bronze or cast iron, the pump features stainless steel fasteners and a stainless steel shaft sleeve for enhanced corrosion protection. A replaceable wear plate supports easier maintenance and long‑term efficiency retention. The dynamically balanced 6‑vane semi‑open impeller, with a diameter of up to 6.75" (171.45 mm), contributes to smooth hydraulic performance and reduced vibration. The pump is also ABS Type Approved, reinforcing its suitability for marine applications.
Capable of delivering flows up to 500 GPM (113.6 m³/h) and heads up to 190 ft (58 m), the FLOMAX® 30 is powered by motors up to 25 HP (18.4 kW). Seal options include a standard carbon/ceramic/Viton configuration, with multiple special‑duty materials available upon request. The pump accommodates solids up to 0.60" (15.2 mm), further enhancing its versatility.
