The FLOMAX 30 SS is designed as a 3" × 3" self‑priming centrifugal pump capable of achieving flow rates up to 500 GPM (113.6 m³/h). The hydraulic design incorporates a semi‑open, precision‑balanced 316 stainless steel impeller that enhances pumping efficiency while ensuring reliable operation with both clean and lightly contaminated fluids.
The pump housing and wetted components are constructed from premium 316 stainless steel, offering industry‑leading corrosion resistance and compatibility with a broad spectrum of chemicals. This allows safe and reliable handling of fertilizers, chemicals, DEF (diesel exhaust fluid), reverse osmosis water, and other corrosive liquids.
A resilient mechanical seal system – constructed from carbon, ceramic, Viton, and stainless steel – provides strong thermal and chemical resistance while minimizing leakage risk under continuous duty operation. Optional seal configurations are available for more specialized media or operating environments.
The FLOMAX 30 SS features a 3" NPT suction port and a 3" ANSI 150# flat‑flange discharge connection for secure, standardized installation in fixed or mobile pumping systems. A Viton flapper check valve and priming chamber plug enhance the pump’s self‑priming capability, allowing the unit to lift fluid rapidly after initial priming.
For integration flexibility, the pump can be supplied in multiple drive configurations, including close‑coupled 184TC and 215C motor mounts, engine mount setups, pedestal configurations, or as a PUMPAK® unit without a motor. This modularity supports both stationary and portable installations across diverse operational conditions.
