Product Overview

The FLOMAX® 8 Hydraulic is a self‑priming centrifugal pump capable of lifting liquids from depths up to 25 ft (7.6 m), thanks to its engineered vacuum‑generation design and integrated flapper valve system that retains liquid in the suction line after shutdown. This ensures fast re‑priming and reduced downtime during repeated cycles. 

The pump accommodates a selection of gerotor hydraulic motors with displacements of 0.37, 0.45, or 0.58 cu. in. (6.1, 7.4, 9.5 cm³), supporting hydraulic flow rates between 5–12 GPM (1.1–2.7 m³/h) and operating pressures from 900–1850 PSI (62–128 bar). This range allows precise integration into various hydraulic systems while maximizing energy efficiency. 

Constructed with durable materials – including 316 stainless steel, aluminum, bronze, and cast iron – the FLOMAX® 8 is designed to withstand corrosion, wear, and aggressive operating environments. A renewable wearplate extends pump life and maintains hydraulic efficiency, while the 5.0" (127 mm) semi‑open, dynamically balanced impeller reduces vibration and enhances flow performance. 

For challenging fluids, the pump can be configured with double grease‑lubricated seals or stainless steel seal components, making it capable of handling abrasive or corrosive media. The system passes solids up to 0.56" (14.2 mm), ensuring dependability in dirty or particulate‑laden liquids. Hydraulic system pressures of up to 1900 PSI (131 bar) support strong and consistent performance.
