PETROLEUM 15 | P Series | Self-Priming Centrifugal Pump (3" x 3")

The Petroleum 15 is a high‑performance, self‑priming centrifugal pump engineered for demanding fuel‑handling applications. Designed to deliver reliable, efficient liquid transfer, it provides the suction lift, durability, and operational flexibility required in agricultural, commercial, and industrial environments.

Technical Product Description

The MP Pumps Petroleum 15 series is a robust 3" x 3" self‑priming centrifugal pump capable of generating sufficient vacuum to lift liquids from sources up to 25 ft (8 m) below pump level. Built for versatility, the Petroleum 15 is offered in three specialized models—PE, PG, and PO—each engineered to handle specific categories of fuels and petroleum‑based liquids.

The unit may be configured as a fully assembled PumPAK® pump end or paired with a range of power options, including 184TC and 215C frame electric motors, hydraulic drives, and gasoline engines. A pedestal version is also available for T‑frame motors or belt‑drive systems.

Its construction features heavy‑duty cast iron or ductile iron, delivering long service life under harsh operating conditions. A semi‑open, dynamically balanced impeller ensures smooth flow performance, while a renewable wear plate enhances longevity and simplifies serviceability. Stainless steel fasteners and a stainless‑steel drive sleeve provide added protection against corrosion—critical for fuel‑handling environments.

Each model incorporates a seal package tailored to its intended fluid compatibility:

  • PE 15: carbon/silicon carbide/Viton for ethanol and E85
  • PG 15: carbon/silicon carbide/Viton for gasoline, avgas, kerosene, Jet A/8
  • PO 15: carbon/Ni‑Resist/Viton for biodiesel, diesel fuel, and fuel oils

The Petroleum 15 series delivers flow rates up to 320 GPM (72.7 m³/h) and total head capabilities up to 145 ft (44 m), positioning it as a reliable solution for fluid transfer in high‑demand applications.
