Product Overview

The FLOMAX® 15 Hydraulic is a 3" × 3" self‑priming centrifugal pump designed to maintain a fully primed state using an integrated flapper valve that preserves liquid in the suction line. This design minimizes downtime and eliminates the need for repeated priming, making the pump exceptionally reliable for continuous or intermittent duty cycles. Its hydraulic power source – a .73 cu in (12 cm³) displacement gear motor – supports hydraulic flow rates from 8 to 15 GPM (1.8–3.4 m³/h) and accommodates system pressures between 500 and 1700 PSI (34–117 bar), offering broad compatibility with a range of hydraulic systems. 

Engineered for demanding service conditions, the pump is constructed from a combination of 316 stainless steel, bronze, and cast iron, providing excellent corrosion and wear resistance. Critical components include a stainless steel drive sleeve, corrosion‑resistant hardware, a renewable wear plate, and a dynamically balanced semi‑open impeller – ensuring smooth operation, reduced vibration, and long service life.

The FLOMAX 15 Hydraulic delivers flow capacities up to 318 GPM (72.2 m³/h) and heads up to 183 ft (56 m), enabling efficient handling of large fluid volumes with consistent hydraulic performance. The unit can process solids up to 0.625" (15.9 mm) in diameter, making it suitable for applications involving debris or particulate‑laden liquids. Optional seal upgrades, including double grease‑lubricated configurations or alternative material combinations, further enhance longevity in abrasive or chemically aggressive environments. 

Its rugged design makes it ideal for bilge and ballast transfer, fire protection support, washdown systems, fertilizer and pesticide handling, nurse tank applications, industrial processing, and bulk fluid movement. ABS Type Approval underscores the pump’s suitability for marine environments requiring strict performance and safety compliance.
